RELEASE INFORMATION:
– Tobacco card premium.

– Set is an enhanced version of the Allen & Ginter 1888 The World’s Champions: Second Series (n29) release.

– Each card measure approximately 3 1/4” x 2 7/8″, which was larger than a standard size cigarette package.

– 50 card set released by United States cigarette manufacture, Allen & Ginter Tobacco Company in Richmond, VA. Set spotlights World Champion athletes from 17 different sports. The front of the card shows an artist drawn representation of each athlete, while the back of the card [IMAGE] is unnumbered and contains a listing of all the ‘subjects’ in the series.

– One card was given as a free premium with each pack of “Allen and Ginter’s 20 pack Cigarettes”. Back of cards read “One Packed In Each Box Of 20 Richmond Straight Cut No.1 Cigarettes”.

– It should be noted, there was no first series.
