RELEASE INFORMATION:

– Released one per month (23 total in checklist) in the Japanese Monthly Gong “Invitation to Ring” Magazines starting in August 1982 and ending in June 1984. This magazine covered the world of Pro Wrestling, Boxing, and Kickboxing.

– These large cards are labeled as “Star Wrestler Portraits”.

– Backs are blank and printed on thin, glossy magazine paper.

– Each card measures approximately 6.5” x 10” and were meant to be cut out of the magazine along the right border.

– Gong Magazine was known for issuing this bonus material in their magazines. After these portraits, Gong switched to stickers and the “World Wrestlers Color Catalogue Best 1000” booklets starting in their July 1984 magazine.

– Card #20 is mislabeled as Card #19, so you will find 2 #19s listed above. This card is misspelled as “Davyboy Smith” instead of “DaveyBoy Smith”.
