RELEASE INFORMATION:

– NOTE: Cards that are italicized and have a “*” next to the name, still need to be confirmed.

– Released by Game Time, Inc, out of Atlanta, GA.

– Set is nearly identical to the 1990 WWF Classic Series 1, 145-card set, but have 1989 copyright date on the back.

– Packaging (boxes, wrappers, etc.) can have the 1989 date on them, but it is possible to find cards with the 1990 © on them.

Boxes contain 36 packs with 15-cards per pack, which includes 1 Logo Card (UPC: 017281200012). 25-card blister packs exist.

– There are small text variations between the 2 sets.

– Unverified proof cards may exist. Advertised on secondary market (eBay) as “Proto Pre-Production” trading cards, they look to be glued onto print paper, with card backs showing “THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK”. Card fronts show the “Classic WWF” logo stamped onto the image paper. While the images can be seen here (Ultimate Warrior) (Hulk Hogan), it cannot be verified where they actually came from or how they were released.

– There are 10 logo cards that have the WWF and Classic trademarks and list all 10 logo cards on them with the following information about a logo contest that reads: Logo Contest – Collect all 10 logo cards and Win a free WWF wall poster! Send all 10 logo cards to Good Time Inc., 6488 E. Spring St., Douglasville, GA 30134. Cards are numbered 149 – 158.

– Cards are very hard to come by.  It is not clear where you can find these cards, but there are boxes and packs that were released by WWF Classic that read © 1989 Game Time, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia, All Rights Reserved.  © 1989 TitanSports, Inc.
